Wang Group Receives DOE Grant to Develop Plant NMR Toolbox

The project titled “Atomic Resolution of lignin-carbohydrate interactions in native plant tissues from solid-state NMR." The 3-year, $500K grant will allow the Wang group to develop an NMR-focused spectroscopic toolbox to characterize intact plant tissues and to visualize the aromatic-carbohydrate interface that has locked energy in the plant biomass.
